Ingredients:

– 2 lbs beef bones, such as marrow or knuckle bones

– 1 onion, coarsely chopped

– 2 carrots, coarsely chopped

– 2 celery stalks, coarsely chopped

– 10 cups cold water

– 2 bay leaves

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 425°. Place beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

2. Transfer beef bones to a large pot with the vegetables. Add cold water, bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-10 hours until beef bones are soft and broth is flavorful.

4. Strain beef bone broth using a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl or container, discarding solids.

Extras: Spices like garlic powder, onion flakes, paprika, thyme, oregano, bay leaves, turmeric powder and black pepper are all great options to add into your beef bone broth.
